The Hajah Kamariah Scholarship, named after Hajah Kamariah Mohd Shah, honors her lifelong dedication to community welfare and education. We are inspired by the dedication to philanthropy and community services of Hajah Kamariah. Despite lacking formal higher education, she spent her adult life building her family and pursuing knowledge through unconventional means. Her philanthropy, which includes Quranic teaching, caring for stray animals, and supporting various social causes, has inspired this scholarship. 

The scholarship started by initially covering first-semester fees for low-income students and has since expanded to support educational programs, animal welfare, and pro bono training for underserved groups. The scholarship continues to embody Hajah Kamariah’s values of compassion and community service.
